Introducing the Sprint-class and Medicae-class Ships to the Galaxy

An anchorwoman steps in front of a large statue of a complex molecule, and begins last minute check of her hair and clothing before bringing up her trademark smile. A slight snickering can be heard from behind the camera, which has been rolling throughout the black haired Corellian’s grooming process.
“I’m standing in front of the corporate headquarters of Kalev Biological Engineering, the newest medical firm to enter the public market. With production and operations centers in the Mantessa and Lorrad systems, K.B.E. looks to become the leading provider of medical products and services for the galaxy. A tall order that they intend to fill.
Recently, a summit of the brightest ship and medical engineers perfected the designs on two new products: the Sprint-class Rescue Craft and the Medicae-class Nebulon-B Frigate. I have with me the head of Ancillary Operations at Kalev Biological, Dave Daverson. Mr. Daverson, if you could, please give the listeners some more insight in to these two additions."
The camera pans out slightly to show an averaged sized male Trandoshan, garbed in a slim fitting, black lab coat with an upright collar. The same complex molecule from the background stature can be seen embroidered on the upper sleeve of the Trandoshan’s coat.
“Of course, Miss Dansit.” The Trandoshan pulls in a deep breath before continuing, “A lot of work from the heads of their respective industries went in to the development of these fine spacecraft. Here at K.B.E. we want to be the forerunners in making these ships available to the public at large. For the time being, we are achieving this by offering the datacards to these ships at a competitive yet… profitable price. Demand is high, and will continue to be, but we want to be the first name you think of when you are looking for your next medical craft.”
The black-haired anchorwoman interjected herself while the Trandoshan paused to catch his breath, “What can you tell us about the price of these datacards? I’m sure this question will be the one our viewers are most interested in hearing the answer to.”
“Of course. Please pardon my long-winded nature; this is an exciting subject for me. Right now, we are looking at a price of one million credits per Sprint-class datacard and ten million credits per Medicae-class datacard rental. Additionally, we are offering a unique program we refer to as datacard sharing. Basically, we assign an established number of datacards to a buyer with the stipulation that the first produced be returned back to Kalev Biological. With the Spint-class we are offering a ration of 3 to 1. We assign four datacards and one produced Sprint-class will be made back over to K.B.E. With the Medicae-class, we are offering four to one sharing.” Raising his eye-bones slightly, “We expect that some buyers will be hesitant to go this route, so we will possibly adjust those ratios based on response.”
Turning back to the camera, Miss Dansit spoke, “Exciting news for a galaxy in need of some medical attention. This is Velsintha Dansit of Independent News, stay classy, Galaxy.”
